Renting a sportscar – Go or No?
Everybody loves the precious supercars made by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche or whatsoever. Not only they are good for a show, they provide loads of fun as well! Nothing´s quite like a roaring V12 Lamborghini Aventador accelerating to 300km/h with ease. Sadly most of them will also cost you a load of money. But there are more options to drive the car of your dreams these days. Besides several financing methods, you can also choose to rent a sportscar. Even though leasing a car is often connected to some negative aspects, like you don´t really own the car, there´s nothing left for you at the end of the leasing time, so it has to be a waste of money. But there are several pros too, let´s look at it from a different perspective.
Starting with the probably most important factor which is costs. Here are some points to consider:
If you´re buying a Ferrari you will most likely end up paying around 150.000 – 300.000€ for the car. Sure now it´s yours and you can drive with it as much as you want to and do whatever you want to – so why should you pay around five grand to rent it just for a week? If you sum it up to two or three years, even if you´re considering discounts for a long-term rent, you will pay more than the price of the car itself. But do you really need a supercar for a whole year non-stop? In reality, you´re only driving it when it´s sunny outside and the weather is right. That reduces the number of days significantly, at least if you´re living in Europe. Then you want to have enough time to fully enjoy your ride – another load of days gone. You are not going for a joyful road tour with your dream car for the whole year. A professional Lamborghini rental company knows exactly that and offers you your personal dream car whenever you need it. Maybe it´s twice in a year when you want to go on a vacation with the sports car of your choice. In this case the rental once or twice a year is definitely a lot cheaper than buying the car yourself. Plus you don´t need to concern about maintenance, repairs, insurance, cleaning and so on. The car can be delivered and picked up at your preferred location and you don´t need to worry about anything else than just driving & enjoying.
The next big advantage is flexibility. As mentioned before you can choose where to pick up the car, for how long you´ll need it and how far you want to drive. You can also simply choose which supercar you want to enjoy this time. If you´re buying it yourself you got it – and unless you´re a millionaire this will be the only “fun car“ you have. Of course, there is nothing wrong with sticking to one car. But there are so many astonishing supercars out there, why not drive a Porsche 911 this week and a Ferrari 458 in the next vacation? Maybe after that, it´s time for something really different, like the Nissan GT-R. You see where this is going – the possibility to switch between cars and just try them all out is a big plus. During wintertime when it´s always snowy and rainy outside and you can´t really drive anyway the car is not just standing in your garage and wasting space.
3. Realizing dreams
To be fair this is just an advantage of renting a sports car in general. Many people out there don´t even want to drive a super fast crazy car on a regular basis. Most of them just want the experience to drive their dream car at least once in their lives. Even if it´s just for a wedding, honeymoon or as a birthday present. Supercar rental has the ability to realize dreams for everyone. You don´t have to be drowning in money to drive a Lamborghini etc. Just look for a sports car rental platform and see what they can do for you.
As you can see renting a sports car is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it is cheaper than buying the car itself (in consideration of how often you really drive and enjoy the car), it offers you a lot more flexibility and you don´t need to worry about anything at all. Plus it allows everybody to drive the car of his dreams, thus puts a smile on peoples faces. So if you ever have to choose between buying or renting a sports car think twice, it might be worth it.
