Prosecutors Want Shkreli’s $2M Wu-Tang Clan Album
According to a recent article by Business Insider, Federal prosecutors have requested that a Brooklyn Federal Court judge seize Martin Shkreli’s one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album as part of larger $7.4 million assets seizure. The former pharmaceutical executive was convicted of securities fraud in August and later imprisoned. The government has reportedly suggested that it will keep the $5 million Shkreli paid in bail, and that the remaining money he owes could be covered by assets, including the only existing copy of Wu-Tang’s “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” for which Shkrelli paid $2 million at an auction in 2015. Shkreli is currently imprisoned and scheduled to be sentenced January 16th of 2018. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
